(1) Offline (Ishida)
He summarized the status of the muon neutrino energy reconstruction 
from the quasi-elastic event selection. He can identify q.e. events with
B/(S+B)=40%. Some comments were given; the tail of the angle difference 
distribution, muon energy resolurion below 1 GeV, systematic errors of the 
analysis. He will report again next week. He will summarize the offline 
analysis at the K2K collaboration meeting. 

(2) 1kton 
Itow reports that the auto-fit program works now for the 1 kton analysis.
He will prepare some results for the K2K meeting. 

(3) Muon 
*Ishii/Jeong/Lee/Shiino/Tauchi finished 26 sets out of total 58 sets.
*They are testing the cables and find 200 cables out of 1000 have loose 
 connection. Shiino tries to fix them.
*Structure meeting was held on July 11.
*Power failure is scheduled on Oct 9,10. They prepare the battery. 
*E.Jeong reported on the analysis of the detection efficiency and 
position resolution of the muon chamber using cosmic-rays. Detection 
efficiency is 93%. She tries to understand the position resolution.
 
(4) LG (Kobayashi) 
*Kobayashi will set up the cosmic-ray calibration in the east counter hall.
*Sakuda comments that Taihei Co identifies the specification of the support 
 rail for the lead glass module.

(5)SCIFI 
*Kobe weekly report (A.Suzuki)
 The spooling machine is ready. They will start the sheet production next week.
 They asked us to send two shift persons from July 28.
*Mine reports on the cosmic-ray test. 
 Sharkey completed the position calibration table. Echigo double-checked it.
 Mine/Sharkey checked some invisible or dark fibers. They took a new set of
 position calibration data. This time, they light up the reference fibers 
 every time after taking a set of cosmic-ray data. 
 Nishikawa asked Mine to study the vertex resolution using cosmic-ray tracks.
*Detector status (Sakuda)
 Polishing the fibers at Suzuno this weekend; Aluminum coating next week; 
 The length of the unpainted part of the fiber ribbon was determined to be 
 70 cm. -> Kobe group.

(5) Veto (Ohyama)
 Nakamura showed that the time resolution was about 0.65-1 ns. He said that
 they will improve the trigger to obtain the right efficiency.

(6) Beam monitor
*Inagaki et al measured the refractive index of R-C318, HFC-134a and HCFC-22.
R-C318 is good but expensive. 
 They like the rectangular box better than the cylindrical box for the pion 
monitor. 
*Maruyama explained how he obtains the neurtino energy spectrum at SK from the
measured anglular distribution of the pionn. He uses two set of gas pressure. 
The goal of the detector is to predict the neutrino flux at SK. He is studying 
the systematic errors of the method.-> Next week.
