ANALYSIS ON TWR DATA

- OM number versus Distance from the N2 laser source located close to OM 35 on string 5. Blue dots are all OMs from string 1 to 19 and red stars are the TWR OMs, rigth now 48 channels.

Calibration Runs with N2 Laser

For those runs an in situ N2 laser has been used which is located on string 5, between OM35 and OM36. It is possible to adjust the light intensity by using different attenuation factors. The possible scaling is ND 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, (ND: neutral density), i.e three different order of magnitude. So the brightest run is the run with attenuation factor ND 0.0, while the dimmest run is with ND 3.0, i.e 10^-3 weaker than the brightest run. The following waveforms are from OM 500 at distance of 53.6 m, one of the closest to the source and from OM 542 at distance of 112.4 m. One can see from the waveform how easily the closest OM (OM 500) get saturated at the value of 2500 PMT signal amplitude/digits. While OM 542 is far enough away to get a weaker signal and can be used to study the property of single photon-electron pulses.
