Spectra acquired using UCI's 24" Telescope

Daytime Sky Spectra with UCI 24" using UCI spectrograph and ST-8 camera
wavelength range is from ~3750 A (right) to 5300 A (left), 1.08 A/pixel

Reduced spectra of Alpha Lyrae (Vega), an A0 spectral type star

Reduced spectra of Beta Lyrae - a contact binary star system consisting of a B8IIpe star plus an A5 star.
The emission lines are produced by hot circumstellar gas streaming from one star to the other.
