Do NOT take the Campus Drive exit from the Orange County airport since it takes you away from the UCI campus. In other words, when leaving the airport be sure to circle all the way around to the MacArthur Blvd. exit.
Once inside the Student Center look for Emerald Bay C,D,&E rooms on the bottom floor. You may pick up name tags, registration receipts, and campus maps at the registration table. A continental breakfast buffet will also be provided both days.
While arrangements have been made for photocopying, it would be helpful for those giving talks to bring a paper copy of their presentations. Overhead projectors and marker boards will be provided. If anyone needs special audio/visual equipment, please contact Cheryl Young as soon as possible to make arrangements.
There will be a Friday night reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alumni House on Pereira Dr. (listed on the UCI Campus Maps). Your parking permits will allow you to park in Lot #1, across the street and down from the Alumni House. Hors d'oeuvrs and drinks will be served.
Prof. Barwick has made arrangements for some other evening events. Participants arriving on Thursday are welcome to join him on the patio of the Steelhead Brewery at the University Center shopping area, which is located directly across the street from UCI on Campus Dr and Bridge.
Prof. Barwick also asks those wishing to attend the organized group dinner on Saturday evening, to please bring $36.50 in cash to pay for their meal, since the restaurant does not provide separate checks for large groups. Drinks are extra.
