Prof. Michael Dennin has received the "Chancellor's Award for Excellence
in Undergraduate Research" for distinguished accomplishment in fostering
undergraduate research. He has also been named a Cottrell Scholar by the
Research Corporation for a combination of teaching and research.

(Orange County Chapter). She is one of five awardees from UCI's Schools
of Physical Sciences and Engineering .

tie for 16-17th among public universities.
1999 U. S. News Online college rankings had U. C. Irvine in a five
way tie for 36-40th. In 1999, U. C. Irvine was also ranked eighth among
public universities. Among public universities, in 1999 rankings, UC Berkeley
was number 1, UCLA 4th, UCSD 6th, UCI 8th, UC Davis 11th, UCSB 14th, UC
Santa Cruz 17th and UC Riverside 26th.
