FACULTY POSITION IN PHYSICS

University of California-Irvine

The Physics Department of the University of California at Irvine expects to make an appointment of an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in one of the following areas:

(i)Plasma Experiment with an emphasis on Materials Processing/Applied Physics,
(ii) Astronomy, observational or theoretical with emphasis in star formation, or
(iii) Particle Theory with emphasis on Astroparticle Physics.

We are seeking a person who will establish a vigorous research program and participate effectively in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
